Adriana Lima ware $3 Million Bra in fashion event: Adriana Lima, the 29-year old supermodel, was chosen to model this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fantasy Bra valued at $3 million. Decorated with a starburst design, the Bombshell bra features 2,000 diamonds and was unveiled ahead of the upcoming fashion show in New York, reports the luxury blog, Luxuo.
Lima is a model best known for her work with Victoria's Secret. Her first fashion show for the company came in 1999, and since being contracted as an Angel in 2000, she has appeared on subsequent shows ever since. Last year, Vicky’s Secret Angel Marisa Miller wore the Harlequin Fantasy Bra, also priced at $3 million.
Despite the price tag, the bra is not the most expensive ever made. In 2005 supermodel Gisele Bundchen donned a $12.5 million bra, also made by Victoria’s Secret.
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2010 is set to air live from New York City Tuesday, November 30 on CBS.
The show is loved by some (not hard to guess who falls into this category), and highly criticized by others. Although labeled by many as pornographic, the FCC has never imposed any fines. In 2002, the National Organization for Women protested the show calling it a "soft-core porn infomercial." They were joined in protest by the Parents Television Council and other watchdog organizations.
